Pollmeier COMPONENTS // Solid Beech are our cut-to-size parts. They are manufactured exclusively with beech wood from sustainably managed forests. They are lightly steamed and carefully kiln dried to 7-9%. Our solid wood components are cut to exact length and width and calibrated for thickness.

To sum it up: Pollmeier COMPONENTS are ready to use and ready to save costs.

We offer our COMPONENTS // Solid Beech in two different grades.
All grades can be ordered in various dimensions, starting with very short and narrow COMPONENTS up to high lengths and wide widths.

AAA

CCC

AAA (4 sides clear)

Almost flawless appearance

Characteristics of natural wood sporadically permitted, i.e. pin knots

Suitable for all visible applications, i.e. mouldings, stile+rail, furniture and frame parts, slatted frames, edge-glued panels, partitions, drawers

AAX (3 sides clear)

Front face almost flawless appearance

Characteristics of natural wood permitted sporadically

Back: distinctive characteristics permittable, i.e. branches, colour, splits

For applications with one-sided visual requirements, i.e. skirting boards, door edge bands, floor boards, floor, furniture frames

CCC (4 sides clear; colour no defect)

Almost flawless appearance, colour not determined as a defect

Colour defects permissible on all sides, i.e. red heart, blue stain, mineral spots

Characteristics of natural wood permitted sporadically, i.e. pin knots

For all applications where colour is not determined as a defect, i.e. opaque coloured mouldings, dowels, dowel rods, sticks, brushes

CCX (3 sides clear – colour no defect)

Front face almost flawless appearance, colour not determined as a defect

Back: distinctive characteristics permittable, i.e. knots, cracks

Colour defects permissible on all sides, i.e. red heart, blue stain, mineral spots

For all applications where colour is not determined as a defect, i.e. edge-glued panels, painted mouldings, floor boards, furniture frames, brushes

GGG (Frame grade)

Ideal grade for frame production

All wood characteristics not impairing the stability are permitted

Max. defect size (knots, etc.) <1/3 of the cutting width
