Spruce LVL (laminated veneer lumber) consists of multiple 3mm thick veneers layers, bonded by an adhesive. Peeling and later bonding the veneers, reduces natural imperfections, which are then spread over the cross-section. Resulting in a homogeneous and efficient engineered wood product, that is tailored for standardized constructive use in non-visible applications. Furthermore precision cuts can be used for high load components in rack-; door-and vehicle constructions.
LVL enables the use of smaller cross-sections due to its higher strength values, resulting in material and cost savings.
