Board / Beam BauBuche S
BauBuche S is mainly used for bar-shaped construction components.
To produce these, the boards are cut in longitudal direction in order to obtain small cross-sections of maximum 60mm in width. BauBuche S is currently only available for non-exposed applications.
Board BauBuche Q (lead time on request*)
BauBuche Q is available with approx. 15 % cross-plies. The material is primarily designed for flat bearing elements such as load-bearing wall panels, and for components in assembled elements including box girders or ribbed plates. Thanks to the cross-layers, even larger boards are resistant to warping.
*Board BauBuche Q will not be available until the fourth quarter of 2023

For a long time beechwood was neglected in forestry, and was mainly used as firewood. It was not until the mid-19th century that the beech tree was discovered as a source of timber, and afforestation began. Today it is the most common deciduous tree in Germany, accounting for around 15% of the entire tree population.
